Us

House of Deda is a platform at the intersection of storytelling and ethnography. We tell the stories of Salento, Puglia, Italy through the eyes of its people.

We use our background in design, photography, writing and content curation to craft visual narratives that preserve stories, otherwise lost to time.

New Terms

I’ve always understood the world through images, and photography has always been my way of trying to talk back — to start a dialogue. I’m Andrea, Italian designer and art director living in London. In 2018, I started House of Deda with the ambition to document the myriad stories from Salento, the southern niche of Puglia, Italy, where I grew up. A few years into this, Edoardo joined me as an editor. Beyond his editorial expertise, he’s been a bridge to many of the characters and tales you now read on our website. Together, we strive to offer a reflective glimpse into the essence of Salento and its otherwise fading stories.
